Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Mary, Pistis Sophia等, 都有十二使徒 (尤其是彼得) 出聲頂撞馬利亞的情節. 例如:

Gospel of Thomas (Lambdin translation)
Simon Peter said to him, "Let Mary leave us, for women are not worthy of life." Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the kingdom of heaven." (114)

Gospel of Mary (Tuckett translation)
When Mary had said this, she fell silent, since the Saviour had spoken with her up to now.
But Andrew answered and said to the brethren: ‘Say what you (wish to?) say about what she has said. I myself do not believe that the Saviour said this. For these teachings seem to be (giving) different ideas.’
Peter answered and spoke about these same things. He asked them about the Saviour: ‘He did not speak with a woman without our knowing, and not openly, did he? Shall we turn around and all listen to her? Did he prefer her to us?’
Then Mary wept. She said to Peter: ‘My brother Peter, what do you think? Do you think that I thought this up in my heart, or that I am lying about the Saviour?’ (Papyrus Berolinensis (BG) 8502)

Pistis Sophia (Mead translation)
It came to pass then, when Jesus had finished speaking these words unto his disciples, that he said unto them: "Do ye understand in what manner I discourse with you?" And Peter started forward and said unto Jesus: "My Lord, we will not endure this woman, for she taketh the opportunity from us and hath let none of us speak, but she discourseth many times." (Book 1)
It came to pass then, when the First Mystery had finished speaking these words unto the disciples, that Mary came forward and said: "My Lord, my mind is ever understanding, at every time to come forward and set forth the solution of the words which she hath uttered; but I am afraid of Peter, because he threatened me and hateth our sex." (Book 2)
